At the early stage of the Covid-19 epidemic, to deal with the shortage of personal protection suits and masks etc., the first automatic mask production line was set up with the support of Haier COSMOplat in the Houma Economic Development Zone in Shanxi province. The daily production reached 10,000 disposable medical masks.

As one of the key projects in the production of emergency materials, the medical mask production line was strongly supported by the Houma Municipal Party Committee, Houma Municipal Government and Houma Economic Zone Management Committee. Haier COSMOPlat worked together with the Houma Municipal Government as well as production enterprises in the Houma Economic Zone. By leveraging the powerful supply chain ecosystem of the COSMOPlat IoT platform, the Haier Institute of Industrial Intelligence coordinated resources in machinery, production raw materials, smart procurement, smart medicine, etc., and deployed the key technologies of smart manufacturing and the operation system of digital supply chains. Based on an end-to-end solution, the core production line, facilities and raw materials were in place within 48 hours. The first automatic medical mask production line was thus successfully set up in Shanxi Province.
