Vaccine
safety has become a hotly debated subject in the whole of society.
Vaccine safety incidents including the faulty vaccines produced by
Changchun Biotechnology, expired vaccines in Jiangsu Province, and
mixed-up vaccines in Shijiazhuang City trouble every parent in China.
While deeply concerned with vaccine issues, people begin to raise
serious questions as to how we can prevent faulty vaccines from
getting into circulation. How can we trace all vaccines throughout
the process from manufacturing to inoculation? How can we utilize new
technologies such as IoT to improve the well-being of the society?
It
is against such a background that the Haier Smart Vaccine Network has
been established. Centered around the health of children, Haier has
introduced the world’s first IoT smart vaccine ecosystem solution
and has created a human-machine-vaccine ecosystem to ensure
error-free vaccine pick-up, instant blocking of faulty vaccines and
fully-traceable vaccination. The Haier Smart Vaccine Network is
committed to providing satisfactory solutions for all parties
including children, parents, injection sites and governments.
Tianjin
Dawangzhuang Community Health Service Center, China’s first smart
vaccination site
In
2018, Tianjin Dawangzhuang Community Health Service Center, a user of
Haier vaccine refrigerators, approached Haier and expressed their
concerns about the potential risks of the manual process of
vaccination, which has drawn the attention of Gong Yi, general
manager of the Haier Biomedical Smart Vaccine Network.
Like
all parents, Gong Yi, himself a father, is quite sensitive to vaccine
issues. To find out about the real needs of the market, he visited
dozens of injection sites and communicated with the medical staff. It
is during this process that he noticed some loopholes in some
vaccines-related products.
After
several months, the Haier Smart Vaccine Network Solution is fully
implemented with the launch of an IoT cold-room vaccine refrigerator,
a vaccine refrigerator beside the inoculation counter and a vaccine
administration management system. Haier reinvents the injection sites
with digitization and intelligent technologies and provides a
one-stop vaccination model covering queue management, registration,
one-on-one inoculation, observation and discharge management. The
Haier Smart Vaccine Network is the first fully-digitized and
fully-trackable smart vaccination service in China.

An
all-around urban smart vaccine network for a better future
After
the implementation of the Haier Smart Vaccine Network at the Tianjin
Dawangzhuang Community Health Service Center, industrial counterparts
and leaders from Inner Mongolia, Guangxi Province and Henan Province
etc. all visited the center and made plans to replicate the solutions
in their own cities.
To
date, the Haier Smart Vaccine Network has covered 16 cities in the
Tianjin Municipality, Inner Mongolia, Hubei Province, Henan Province,
Guangdong Province and Jilin Province. Covered by Haier’s safety
network, over 4 million children can now receive error-free
vaccinations.
In
early November 2019, Haier Biomedical works together with the
Shenzhen Government to build an urban smart vaccine network, which is
the first of its kind in China and sets the standard for urban
vaccine safety ecosystems. The Haier Smart Vaccine Network with its
all-around coverage plays a leading role in the innovation of smart
vaccination and builds a safety net for the full-process monitoring
and tracking of vaccines.
Smart
mobile vaccination vehicle leads to greater convenience in special
circumstances
In
fact, children in some areas have limited access to vaccinations,
especially in some remote areas with inadequate transportation; when
natural disasters occur or during serious infectious disease
outbreaks, temporary injection camps cannot make sure that vaccine
administration protocols are followed and that vaccines are safely
administered. To cope with these issues, Haier Biomedical has
upgraded and iterated its smart vaccine network and has equipped
vehicles with a smart mobile vaccination platform to provide
vaccination services in special circumstances.

Haier
Smart Mobile Vaccination Vehicles change the way vaccination services
are delivered from passive contact to an active search for those who
need vaccination. Through this proactive approach, children in
mountainous areas, pasturing areas and disaster areas can have access
to the same vaccination services as children in cities. Haier Smart
Mobile Vaccination Vehicles ensure the convenience, fairness,
coverage and timeliness essential to vaccination. Moreover, the
vaccination vehicles are equipped with IoT technologies and a digital
vaccination management system, which can keep all the records and
trace all the processes and carry out real-time interactions with
government CDC systems, while maintaining accuracy and promptness.
People’s
health and well-being depends on vaccination safety. Haier provides
efficient and safe vaccination solutions with IoT technology as a way
of fulfilling its corporate social responsibilities. It is the same
responsibilities that drive Haier to create a new scientific
ecosystem, which provides the best iterated user experience, rapid
replication and constant innovations, rebuilds confidence among the
public, and truly benefits society.
