Haier holds the 16th anniversary ceremony and development seminar Haier Group held the 16th anniversary ceremony in Haier International Training Center on December 26, 2000. Haier achieved the turnover of 40.6 billion yuan in 2000. More than 300 friends including leaders of the State Economic and Trade Committee, the State Information Department, China Quality Association, Shandong Provincial Government and Qingdao Municipal Government and many journalists were present at this ceremony. Haier Group has achieved the turnover of 40.6 billion yuan by December 26, 2000 increasing 51.5 percent than the same period of last year. The export achieved USD 280 million of the foreign exchange increasing 50 percent over the same period of last year. President Yang Mianmian made the report in the ceremony and introduced the development in 2000. CEO Zhang Ruimin reported the development thoughts in 2000. Their speeches won warm applause of the people. The state leaders affirmed the development thoughts and development of Haier Group in the past years.
