The “Intelligent Air Ecosystem” Meteorological Service Exclusive Strategic Agreement was signed between CMA (China Meteorological Administration) Public Meteorological Service Center and Haier Air Conditioning in Qingdao Haier Industrial Park on November 4th.
The two sides will cooperate on the embedded meteorological service in intelligent household appliances, big data mining, and R&D of civilian meteorological monitoring products, explore the fusion mechanism of intelligent household appliance monitoring data with civil data on the one hand, and the specialized data of CMA on the other, and improve the intelligent meteorological service for living environments. This will be the first time that “air big data” have extended from public service field to households, thus providing more precise and specialized air service for individuals. It also means that Haier has achieved a trans-boundary fusion in big data application.
At present, CMA has gathered meteorological monitoring data from over 20,000 observation stations, satellites and radar detectors across the nation, with which detailed meteorological forecast data reports can be made on short-, medium- and long-term basis. Large amounts of meteorological data will be turned into real-time analyzed and applied “living data”, serving the R&D, production and sales of Haier Air Conditioning.
The two sides will study on the ways of application of “air big data” on intelligent household appliances in three fields. First, based on the specialized meteorological service cooperation of big data, “air big data” will become a new exploration of Haier’s “Zero Inventory” mode. Second, a cooperative mechanism based on the hardware equipment of intelligent household appliances will be built in order to promote the establishment of the standardization system of civil meteorological equipment. Third, the two sides will cooperate to explore the diversified disastrous weather warning information service mode to help more people and enterprises with disaster prevention and reduction.
The cooperation with CMA on “air big data” stands as a millstone as Haier seeks to transform to an Internet-oriented enterprise. The main cooperative object is to turn Haier’s air products in the future into the “personal weather bureau” of users, which reveals Haier’s personalized thinking characterizing its transformation to an Internet-oriented enterprise.
