Haier

On November 25, 2014, the China Youth Development Foundation holds the Honoring Ceremony for the 25th Anniversary of Project Hope in Beijing. Haier Group is invited to the meeting, and is awarded with the "Award for Outstanding Contribution to Project Hope" because of its long-term engagement in Project Hope and exploration of new model of public welfare in the Internet age. On behalf of the group, Diao Yunfeng, the Vice President of Haier Group, comes to the stage and accepts the award. Over the past 20 years, Haier has donated more than RMB 80 million, and donated 206 hope schools; Haier is the enterprise that has donated the most schools in China. In 2006, due to outstanding contributions in Project Hope, Zhang Ruimin, the CEO of Haier Group, was awarded "Top 10 People with Great Contributions to China's Public Welfare", and Haier Group was awarded "Top 10 Enterprises with Great Contribution to China's Public Welfare". So far, Haier Group has donated money and goods worthing RMB 500 million to the public welfare.
