One of the most trusted brands for home based electronic appliances; Haier has announced that they plan on starting a unit for manufacturing laptops and mobile phones in Pakistan.

This announcement was made in a briefing on the occasion of Haier’s 30th anniversary celebrations.

The statement of the mobile manufacturing unit was made public by the CEO of Haier in Pakistan, Mr Javed Afridi. The Director of Sales and Marketing; Munawwar Durrani and Director Haier Pakistan were also present at the event. Mr Afridi gave away further details and told the media that the inauguration of the manufacturing unit would be done by the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mr Mian M. Nawaz Sharif.

This initiative of setting up the laptop and mobile manufacturing unit in Pakistan furthers the plan of the present government under the leadership of PM Nawaz Sharif to increase the contribution of our neighboring China in this field.

Furthermore, the CEO added that Haier Pakistan has signed an agreement with the Pakistan Cricket Board. This contract would help in elevating the condition and status of domestic cricket in Pakistan.

Haier Pakistan also conferred different awards to the popular personalities of the country. Cricketer Younis Khan was given the Excellency award, whereas Boom Boom Afridi was bestowed with the Life Time achievement award. Renowned cricketer Hanif Khan who is also recognized as “Little Master” was given a check of ten thousand US dollars on the occasion.

The functions and uses of some of the Haier products were also shown in the event. Munawwar Durrani, the Director of Sales and Marketing said that the products made by Haier Pakistan are of top quality which is why they are popular all over the world since the last six years. He assured that the company would maintain the same standards in the coming years.
