Meizu partners with Haier to enter smart home market

Meizu officially announced today (January 21, 2015) that the company and Haier will have an in-depth cooperation in smart home, logistics storage and financial service in the future. At its launch event on the 28th of January, Meizu new smart home products may be unveiled.
Meizu also said that it will make use of Haier's U+ SDK to develop its app LifeKit built in the Flyme system, so as to jointly improve the smart ecosystem via the platform.
The cooperation presents the openness of Internet, said Li Nan, vice president of Meizu. Meizu is an open platform, and Haier U+ is also a fully open platform. The collaboration of the two open platforms aims to create a better user experience.
