A kind of home intelligent gateway- the latest cooperation outcome between Haier Group and Intel Corporation is shown by Haier through its quiet appearing on Intel booth on CCBN exhibition in recent days.

The family intelligent gateway of Haier is a kind of gateway router equipment that can run family networks. It is a cuboid with an approximate height of more than 20 centimeters while its edges are slightly round as well. Besides, the color of the body of equipment is pure white while a status light on its front side is available as well. Moreover, it looks to some extent like a magnified edition of the intelligent Cuptime when viewing from the overall aspect.   

The family intelligent gateway of Haier consists of three functions which respectively are router, family storage and intelligent family control center.

Intelligent family: control U & platform hardware through APP of the routerWe can know that all the above-mentioned features are not special. However, what this gateway surprises people most is that it is equipped with an Intel processor of Puma 6E SoC while many technologies with Intel features have been adopted as well.

Puma 6E, launched in January of this year and belonging to Puma 6 series, is a triple-core processor. Besides, atom cores, which were usually used in IPCs during the past time, are adopted by Puma 6 processors as well. Moreover, Intel started planning to apply atom cores to intelligent family filed last year and had cooperated with many ODMs so as to research and develop new programs. The family intelligent gateway of Haier this time is supposed to be its first official product in China.
