Haier

Recently, 2015 World Conference on Quality and Improvement (WCQI) hosted by the American Society for Quality (ASQ) was held in Nashville, Tennessee, the US. The 6 Six Sigma Project teams on behalf of Haier participated in the final of the “International Excellent Team Competition”. Thanks to their outstanding performance, the team got high praise from the judges and delegates from various countries. They comprehensively displayed Haier's innovative performance in the international competition and won the honor of "The International Excellence Team Award" with excellent scores at the final round. Haier is the first Chinese local enterprise on the shortlist for the final, and also the only enterprise in household appliance industry winning the award.

World Conference on Quality and Improvement is hailed as "the Olympic Games" in the quality industry. Teams from multiple fields, including global manufacturing industry, service industry, education industry, health care industry and government institutes, compete for the International Excellence Team Award. The theme of the 2015 conference was "Transform the world through innovation, inspiration and leadership". Nearly 3,000 representatives from 47 countries and regions attended the meeting. 40 projects of 30 enterprises from 13 countries and regions around the world reached the final of the “International Excellent Team Competition” in this conference, and the results were released at the site.
