Satisfied with its 13 years of operation in Thailand, Haier revealed that it experienced a 14.7% growth in the first half of this year. The second half will see a new line of its home appliances to response to the trend in Thailand and global market. This year’s target is expected to reach a 20% increase or 2,300 million baht.
Mr. Yang Xiaolin, President of Haier Thailand Group said that Haier has established customer’s confidence in its brand and developed its products to win the hearts of consumers worldwide as it is considered the world’s largest manufacturer of home appliances, considering its market share, for 6 consecutive years. In Thailand, competition in the electrical appliance market is high. The market continuously expanded in the first half of this year. Haier sales during January-June this year is 1,270 million baht, a 14.7% increase from 1,107 million baht in the same period last year. Due to the hot climate, sales of Air-conditioning products enjoyed high growth of 110.4% in both consumer and commercial markets.
This year, which marks the 13th year of Haier’s operation in Thailand, will see a new business model, new innovation and new lines of home appliances from Haier because the market still has many rooms to grow with high purchasing power of consumers. This year’s target is set at 2,300 million baht or 20% increase from 1,900 million baht in 2014. New models include 2-door “Dynamic Inverter” refrigerator that can save 39% of energy and provide more cooling power. Equipped with tower LED for bright lights inside, the refrigerator comes in 4 colors and 4 sizes including 8.6, 9.4, 10.9 and 11.9 cu. Ft.
Mr. Yang Xiaolin added that Thailand is strategically significant to Haier and it is the reason behind the establishment of the Regional Air-conditioning Training Center in Kabinburi District, Prachinburi Province to provide training services to all ASEAN countries.
