Fisher & Paykel has always been the pride of New Zealanders. Today, I am proud to see the cooperation of both sides in all aspects and the continuous development of their business after Fisher & Paykel joined Haier. ”
——English, Prime Minister of New Zealand
On March 28, Premier Li Keqiang visited the research and development center of Haier Group's top household appliance brand Fisher & Paykel in Oakland, New Zealand.
During the visit of more than half an hour, Premier Li Keqiang visited the design center, the future space design exhibition area, the office and the social kitchen exhibition area in the research and development center successively and listened to the interpretation about the Fisher & Paykel's production on many aspects, including the machinery production, the component technology and the development of laundry product and so on. It is worth noting that in the future space design exhibition, the Premier focused on understanding the subversive business model of the "RenDanHeYi" model put forward by Haier and he is very interested in localization landing of this mechanism. When the staff of Fisher & Paykel told the Premier that each employee now has clear market and project targets, and systematic methods have been used to manage the target and action, Premier Li Keqiang said directly in English: "It’s good!" ”
When it comes to the understanding of the "RenDanHeYi" model, combining with COSMOPlat, Premier Li Keqiang said that the "RenDanHeYi" is an open platform, on which all internal and external employees and users can put forward the requirements and improvement proposals in order to continuously improve products and services. Currently, Haier has started its first year of fruiting, rooting and blooming from the model of "RenDanHeYi", the Premier was also attracted to ask about it, which demonstrated the global vitality of this model.
R&D center leading Haier's global strategy
According to the reports, since Haier completed its acquisition towards the largest local household appliance company Fisher & Paykel in New Zealand in December 2012, Fisher & Paykel R&D center (Dunedin and Auckland in New Zealand) has become one of the five major R&D centers in Haier's global layout. As the world's top household appliance brand, Fisher & Paykel research and development center in New Zealand is firmly committed to "becoming a local first-class R&D and user resources interface platform". Its groundbreaking and sustaining innovation has supported the landing of Haier White Goods Group's global leading strategy and achieved the differentiation layouts of Haier and Fisher & Paykel double brand between the main channel in Australia and in New Zealand.

"RenDanHeYi" opens a new round of reforms
How can the double brand strategy of Haier and Fisher & Paykel get a firm foothold in the New Zealand market? In fact, this is inseparable from Haier's "RenDanHeYi" model. Zhang Ruimin, Chairman & CEO of Haier Group, once said the world is the research and development department of Haier Group. However, in the Internet Age, this is a concept to break the edge and open a new platform so that the world's premium resources are for my use, and are integrated into an interdependent ecosystem with iteration and interaction.
From the perspective of models, "RenDanHeYi" is a kind of business model focusing on users and experience. Unlike the enterprise tradition in western countries which puts priority to shareholders, the model pays most attention to employees and users, enabling employees to realize their own value while creating user value. In the current era, "RenDanHeYi" enables employees to become entrepreneurs, being able to have self-organization, self-driving and self-evolution. It aims at some large enterprises which are clumsy and conservative in management and control and make the enterprise become a forest, being a driving force to microenterprise and leading the way to revolution. In fact, the "RenDanHeYi" model is a kind of business process of "Firstly big business to small, then small business to big", which allows large enterprises to adapt to the pace of the times and glow with the vitality of entrepreneurial enterprise.
I am afraid the reason why the "RenDanHeYi" model could arouse the interest of the Premier is not only because of the business model itself, but because it is more like a cultural ecology which highlights the tension and tolerance of Chinese culture. Jacob Burkhard once thought that the outline of any culture may be a different picture in the eyes of different people. So does the "RenDanHeYi" model. It does not show us the changeless "steel city", but a variety of ecological rain forests. From Haier to Fisher & Paykel, the "RenDanHeYi" model, after all, is born of the "human nature".
