On July 9, Haier Pakistan received a letter of acknowledgement from the Embassy of Pakistan in China to express the gratitude to Haier for their efforts and contributions to the people of Pakistan during the battle against the COVID-19. After the outbreak of COVID-19 in Pakistan, Haier Pakistan made three batch of donations, including PPE and daily necessities, to ensure the safety and basic livelihood of the Pakistani people.
Haier Pakistan’s Contribution to the Fight against the Epidemic in Pakistan
The First Batch
On April 2, Haier Pakistan donated 50,000 protective face masks to the Pakistan Government and the Prime Minister himself accepted the donation.
The Second Batch
On April 3, Haier Pakistan began to distribute ration bags to local residents to ensure the basic life of the community facing COVID-19. This donation program distributed 25,000 ration bags including wheat, rice, oil, sugar, vegetables and other necessities.
The Third Batch
On May 4, Haier Pakistan’s third donation of supplies for helping the local government to fight the COVID-19 was accepted. This donation included 1,500 protective suits, 20,000 medical surgical face masks, 4,000 KN95 protective face masks, 50,000 nitrile examination gloves, 4,000 medical protective goggles and 4,000 medical protective masks.
During the epidemic, Haier Pakistan took the initiative and fulfilled the social responsibilities along the Belt and Road taking the international responsibility as a Chinese corporate.
